On 1 June, the think-and-do tank betterplace lab organised an online roundtable “Towards a feminist digital development cooperation” with 15 experts from countries of the Global South to discuss the nexus between feminist development policy and digitalisation. During the exchange on access, use and design of digital technologies, suggestions for practical and structural changes were developed so that the digital future is a truly feminist one.

The results of the event will be incorporated into a trend study that betterplace lab is preparing, supported by GIZ on behalf of BMZ. The study aims to learn, through consultation with experts from the Global South, more about the potentials and necessities of feminist digital development.
