Digitalization will be fair if platform companies pay their employees well. This is what Thorsten Schäfer-Gümbel, CEO of GIZ, and Mark Graham, head of the Fairwork project, call for in their guest article in the Frankfurter Rundschau. They show how the Fairwork project, which is funded by GIZ and BMZ, is helping to improve precarious working conditions on the platforms with its standards and public assessments of digital platforms.
