More than 100 relevant technologies from all sectors in which GIZ is active are displayed on the techDetector radar. Each technology is assessed according to three parameters:
- the basis for assessing the maturity of technologies is the Technology Readiness Level (TRL). TLR is a standard for the maturity of technologies introduced by NASA.
- The sustainability impact is determined via an open crowdsourced survey that was developed based on the GIZ sustainability dimensions. 3.
- the gender impact is also determined via a crowdsourced experiment and provides information on the potential impact of the technologies on gender equality.
By clicking on the individual technologies, a detailed description and future prospects, the Technology Readiness Level, relevant sustainability goals, organisations active in this field and further sources can be called up. The techDetector is a flexible tool that is regularly updated.
